"Sharing the Good News of God's love with hurting boys and girls is at the heart of Operation Christmas Child. We would like to invite your church or group to participate in the project by packing shoe boxes with simple gifts that will bring joy to children in need this holiday season. The boxes serve as reminders that there is a God who loves them and who sent His best gift, Jesus Christ, to be their Savior. Through Gospel literature and discipleship programs, many of these children are becoming faithful followers of the Lord. Please join us in delivering the blessed hope of Christmas to millions of precious little ones around the world." Franklin Graham, President, Samaritan's Purse.

In the U.S., more than 9,000 volunteers are dedicated year-around to encouraging people in their communities to participate in Operation Christmas Child by packing shoeboxes for children around the world in Jesus' Name.

In 2021, more than 10.5 million shoebox gifts were collected world-wide, 9.1 million of which came from the US.  Boys and girls all over the world have been the joyful recipients of shoe box gifts – packed by enthusiastic supporters just like you! We need the prayers and participation of families, churches and groups across this area to make this a reality.

Each shoe box represents an opportunity to tell boys and girls about the Greatest Gift – Jesus Christ.  In 2022, the goal is to collect enough shoebox gifts to reach an additional 11 million children, with 9.4 million of these boxes coming from the US. This year, we expect to collect our 200 millionth shoebox gift!

The First Baptist Church of Kenton, Ohio is an Operation Christmas Child Relay Center during the third week of November each year. This is a place where any church, family, school, business, civic group, club or individual participating in packing shoe boxes for the Operation Christmas Child program can drop off their boxes to be delivered to the processing center.
